Rhythm at the Y (Helena Independent Record) Open house lets folks get a feel for dance class As Jose Brazoban shimmied, gyrated and contorted his body at a dizzying pace, a class of 16 students gazed at him with awe, their mouths dropped in pure bafflement and eyes wide. A few let out a nervous giggle and others had a tinge of fear in their faces, knowing that they would soon be asked to mimic his movements.
Around the county (Canton Daily Ledger) Canton YWCA is again offering instruction in belly dancing. A six-week session in both Beginner and Intermediate Belly Dance begins Jan. 8 on Monday nights. The Beginner class will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the Intermediate class from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
